Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable cosmetic treatment containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It works deep within the dermis to help stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production. As the PLLA micro-particles are absorbed, they help rebuild the collagen framework, restoring facial volume and smoothing out deep lines and wrinkles over time.

A typical session takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Unlike Botox or HA fillers which offer immediate gratification, Sculptra is a “long game” treatment. You will not see immediate results; instead, your results will emerge gradually over the course of a few months as your body produces new collagen. Most patients require a series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results.

Yes, Sculptra is FDA-approved and has been used safely worldwide since 1999. Common side effects are mild and temporary, including redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site. We recommend the “5-5-5” rule post-treatment: massage the area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days to ensure the product distributes evenly.

While traditional fillers (like Juvéderm or Restylane) are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and work by physically filling a space to provide immediate volume, Sculptra is a biostimulator. It doesn’t just fill; it prompts your body to grow its own tissue. This makes Sculptra ideal for general volume loss and hollows (like sunken temples or cheeks) with results that last significantly longer than traditional fillers – typically up to 2+ years.
